    1. Turn the TV on.
    2. Press and hold the PROG button for three seconds until the LED turns on.
    3. Press the CH+ button to enter the automatic search mode. When your TV turns off, you've found the right code.
    4. Press the TV button to store the code and exit search mode.

Programming, Setup, Troubleshooting

 

Program the Remote to Your TV

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the PROG button for three seconds or until the LED turns on and then press the TV button. The LED will blink once and stay on.
  3. Enter the 4-digit device code.
  4. If the device code is valid, the LED will blink twice. If the device code is invalid, the LED will blink three times. From here, either input another code or cancel the remote programming by pressing the TV button.

Pairing the Remote to the Target Device (DTA)

Your remote can be paired with the DTA, allowing you to place the DTA out of the line of sight (e.g. behind your TV).

  1. Turn on the target device (DTA).
  2. Press and hold the PROG button until the LED turns on and then press the INFO button.
  3. The LED on the remote will blink slowly.
  4. When prompted, enter the 4-digit number.
  5. The DTA will notify you whether or not the pairing was successful. If not, try another code until you find the correct one.

Unpairing the DTA

  1. Press and hold the PROG button until the LED turns on.
  2. Press 9 8 7. The LED will blink twice.

Switching Between DTA and TV Mode for Volume/Mute Control

To control DTA volume and mute, use the following steps:

  1. Press and hold the PROG button until the LED turns on.
  2. Press the VOL- button.
  3. To control TV volume and mute:
    1. Press and hold the PROG button until the LED turns on.
    2. Press the VOL+ button.

No Response from Remote?

Check the Batteries

Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly. If you're having issues with your remote buttons, you may need to replace the batteries with new ones.

Check the DTA

  • Make sure the DTA is connected to the input of the TV.
  • Make sure the DTA is connected to the cable wall outlet.
  • Make sure the DTA power cord is connected to the power outlet.

Check the TV

  • Make sure the power cord is connected to the power outlet.
  • Make sure the TV is on the correct channel for the DTA.

Check the TV Code List (Try some of these codes)

There may be more than one code listed for your TV's brand; try the other codes listed.

If you can't find your TV's brand in the list or you can't program your remote manually, try the Automatic Code Search method (see above).

Going Digital

The all-digital upgrade for our customers is expected to begin in October 2020, and will continue throughout 2020 and into 2021. It will affect different customers at different times. COMPAS X-Stream will notify customers of their specific upgrade date, and when they will need to acquire a digital receiver for each of their televisions via letter. If customers using analog service do not acquire a digital cable box in the timeframe designated in their letter, they will lose television service once the digital transition is completed in their area.
